A fresh, dry morning with
little wind saw a good turnaout of riders and spectators. In equal amounts
although I did try to persuade a few
more riders to sign on.Instead a group gathered at the top of Salthrop Hill and
gave generous applause to the riders. Pete Jeans placed himself at the 1/2 way
mark to give support there. No idea why he didn't dress up as Didi the Devil or
don a mankini...enough!

Hill, Sidmouth (1 mile) 11/10/2009
The
Hill Climb took place on a dry but sunny/cloudy morning with negligible winds
ensured good crowds the Peak Hill on the Sidmouth,course.
Riders of all abilities, some racing novices took part in this tough event up a
1 mile climb averaging 20% with a maximum of 27% two thirds from the summit.

Streatley Hill, 0.5 mile 16% 27th
September 2009
On a lovely sunny warm
morning with little wind saw a reasonable turn out of riders on Streatley Hill on the
Oxfordshire/Berkshire borders near Reading. Including the 2006 & 2007 National Hill Climb Champion James Dobbin.
Robert Gough did a fantastic ride to break the course record and walk
away with a bonus cash prize of £50. He was pushed all the way by
first-time entrant Michael Smith, and a bunch of
riders hot on their wheels.

of the Mid-Devon Hill Climb, (Hay Tor, 3.1 miles) - 26-09-09
The
event was held on a warm day under a clear blue sky, with little to no wind,
which were excellent
climbing conditions. A good field took to the climb, including the 2006 &
2007 National Hill Climb
Champion
James Dobbin, who came close to beating the course record of 12.44 set by Jeff
Williams in 1979 at the National Hill climb.
